Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well and I hope you are all set to vote.  Remember to actually get out and vote if you didn’t already mail in your ballot!

Anyway, I’ve been working on the site a little bit, and I thought I’d let you know of a couple of cool things.

The Subscription service is now working and you can subscribe by e-mail up on the right hand section of the front page. I promise that you will never receive spam from this subscription. You will receive notifications when there is something new on this site. This way you don’t have to come back and check the website all the time. If you prefer to use RSS then you can also subscribe to this with your favorite reader. My choice is always Google Reader.

The Archives page is now working. It was broken for some time and I just got a chance to correct the problem, thanks for all the reminders Sandra, Jon & Kt. This page gives you two new browsing methods, a chronological list, and a popular-topic based list. Give them a try and let me know if you like them or hate them.

I have also added a calendar on the right to make it easy to navigate to any day within the current month. Unless I post a special thematic collection like Mia’s album or Walter’s album then you can find photos by date on whichever date they were taken; independently of when I get around to post them. This way if I can’t remember some of the dog’s names then you can at least try to find them by browsing to the period when the photos were taken and seeing if they have been posted.

Some of you have asked me, how do I find My dog? I wish I could remember all of their names and be able to name each photo accordingly so you could search for them with the search box. Unfortunately I can’t always remember all their names. If you want, when I post a picture of your dog, you could let me know his or her name so I can add it to the picture; and you can always leave a comment.

Where is printing? How can we print the pictures? Well for the time being, you can save the picture to your desktop and print it with your favorite printing service. Please note that the photos are optimized for the internet and they may not print very well in large formats. I hope to have an optimized site that will provide many more options to interact with these photos. In the meantime, you can e-mail me if you want to get any of the photos posted, I can also show you a proof sheet of any other photos of your own dog which were not or have not been posted on the site.
