What is RSS?
RSS is a way for you to keep keep yourself updated of new information from a number of different sources, for example, this website. Think of it as an inbox for the websites that only you are interested in. For example:your favorite News website, or updates to your favorite podcast. To read more about RSS, visit the Wikipedia article about it.
How do I contact you?
Use the Contact form.
Are you on Twitter?
Yes, the name is ifoundpix
If you take pictures for me, can I get the raw images?
It depends for what purpose. Generally, no.
I have a printer at home and I rather just print the photos myself. Can I download the photos?
Most of the photos that you can order prints for also have a download option available. Some you can download for free by using your right-click and saving the image to your desktop or wherever you want.
Which download options should I get? Low-resolution, High-resolution, Original?
It all depends on what you want to do with the photo. If you’re going to crop it before you print it, I recommend you get the High-res or the Original. Also remember that I might have already cropped the picture and if you crop it more, you could loose some quality. If you’re only going to use it for e-mail, desktop background, your blog, sending the picture to grandma, and other similar media then the low resolution should be enough. When in doubt just ask me.
How can I get a copy of the picture you took of ___________ ?
You can go to the Archives page, and find the day on which I took the photo and see if I’ve posted a link to the gallery.
I see other pictures from that day, but not mine. Where is it?
Maybe it didn’t come out, or maybe I haven’t gotten around to it. If I think the picture is personal then I usually won’t post it publicly out of respect for your privacy. Please contact me to get access to these pictures. The most common example of this, is if you asked me to take a picture and you posed for me, this is probably in a private gallery. Just contact me for more information.
When will you post the pictures?
Lately I’ve been trying to post within the same 24 hour period in which the photos were taken. Obviously this isn’t always feasible since I don’t do this for a living. If I can’t do it right away, I try to have photos up no later than 2 weeks after I’ve taken them. This only applies to 2009. I still have many pictures to go through for 2008, I will announce those as I post them. They will be announced on the day that they get posted, but there will also be a link to the photos from the day in which the photos were taken. This way the Archives remain as the main single place for your to find your pictures.
Can you take pictures of _____________?
Sure, use the contact form to send me an e-mail with more details.
Can I hire you?
Sure, I can be available for many different kinds of projects and the limit is only your imagination. I can go to your event and photograph the whole thing, I can also work on getting that picture you need for your new product brochure, or pamphlet or website or whatever. I also can help with photo manipulation, creative projects and that sort of thing. Color correction, removing things out of your photos, making playable DVDs to showcase your event… even if I didn’t take the pictures, I can help you.
